barely 24 hours after gunmen raided villages in Taraba State killing two people, some bandits have ambushed and killed a Catholic priest at Kufai Amadu in Takum local government area of the state, setting him and his vehicle ablaze.

The Priest was on his way to Takum for a peace meeting with his fellow clergymen on how to resolve the lingering Tiv, Jukun crisis when he was killed and it is been believed that the act is been commited by the Tiv militias following an interview of resident in that same state

The Deceased Priest happens to be Reverend Father David Tanko, who hails from Wukari local government area of the state when been identified by Tikari.

Meanwhile the Police authority in the state have promised me that they are investigating the case, we pray that the perpetrators be brought to justice.
